Gauteng Temperatures to Climb This Week, May Reach 29°C by Friday
PRETORIA — This week
Gauteng residents can expect rising temperatures from midweek, potentially reaching 29°C in Pretoria by Friday according to weather forecasts.
The week started with mild, partly cloudy conditions across Gauteng. Pretoria and Centurion recorded highs of 22°C on Monday.
“Gauteng is going to be partly cloudy throughout your Monday, with highs of 22°C for Pretoria and surrounding areas,” said weather forecaster Joel Guy.
Breezy but dry conditions prevailed in most areas. Northern regions saw potential for light drizzle.
“There is a chance of drizzly conditions this morning in the far north, but much of Gauteng will stay dry,” Guy confirmed.
Any drizzly conditions wouldn’t significantly change the dry weather pattern. Mostly stable skies are expected.
Temperatures will rise sharply from Wednesday. Johannesburg and surrounding areas will also experience above-average warmth.
The sudden temperature increase combined with dry conditions may cause discomfort. Residents are advised to stay hydrated.
