Shudufhadzo Musida’s podcast tops SA health charts
SOUTH AFRICA —
Former Miss South Africa Shudufhadzo Musida is celebrating after her “Mindful Mondays with Shudu” podcast became South Africa’s top health and fitness show within weeks of its return. The series ranked seventh overall across all local podcast categories (social media statement).
Musida expressed gratitude to listeners: “Yesterday, our show was the #1 health & fitness podcast in South Africa and #7 across all categories, and I just want to take a moment to thank everyone who has listened, streamed, and shared your stories with us in the last 3 weeks since we launched. That was always our intention, to hold space for real stories and meaningful connection, and I couldn’t be more grateful that it’s come to life through you.”
She added: “This journey wouldn’t be possible without you, and I can’t wait to keep walking it together. We’ve already noticed beautiful themes emerging: boundaries, self-doubt, and most importantly, the feeling that the podcast is meeting people exactly where they are.”
The second season launched on 4 August with immediate audience impact, focusing on authentic conversations about mental wellness rather than textbook definitions (podcast statement).
Musida, 29, from Ha-Masia in Limpopo, described this season as deeply personal: “This is more than a podcast cover. It’s love.” She aims to create safe spaces for sharing and healing through discussions of “daily experience, the quiet battles, breakthroughs, and conversations.”
With singer Shekhinah featuring in the latest episode and themes like boundaries resonating strongly, the show’s relatable approach continues to connect with listeners nationwide.
Musida remains focused on the podcast’s mission: touching lives through genuine storytelling rather than chasing chart positions.
