Miss SA Celebrates Fiancé’s Birthday After Tough Health Battle

Miss South Africa 2024 Mia le Roux has publicly celebrated her fiancé Luke Tenoever’s birthday with heartfelt social media posts following a challenging health ordeal they faced together.

On her Instagram stories, le Roux wrote: “@luke_tenoever Happy birthday to the best fiancé I could ever ask for. To me you are the most gorgeous man outside and inside. Thank you for your heart!” (her Instagram stories). She shared several pictures of the couple.

The couple marked the birthday with dinner. “Luke’s birthday dinner, he asked for a healthy dinner. Ask and you shall receive,” le Roux explained, adding that they are prioritising health and fitness together (her Instagram stories).

Le Roux revealed that “Luke almost died a few months after I was crowned. We didn’t know for an entire week if he would survive when he was in the hospital. Fortunately, he made it after a big surgery… But his health did take a big knock” (her Instagram stories).

She noted Luke has now resumed activities like cricket and gym work (her Instagram stories).

The Miss SA titleholder admitted balancing her duties with personal challenges has been difficult. “I struggle to find time to exercise and cook healthy meals… Because this is not the year that I live for me, but for others. But now it is time to be disciplined and put our health first” (her Instagram stories).

Le Roux and Tenoever, who announced their engagement, shared earlier: “Hello there FIANCE, cannot wait to become your wife @luke_tenoever. The immense love, patience and sacrifice you have shown me this year has been nothing short of incredible… We said yes to forever” (her Instagram post).
