Dr Maweni Celebrates 39th Birthday Amid Reflections on Twins, Triumphs

Traditional healer and reality star Dr Maweni has marked her 39th birthday with reflections on a turbulent year that included her arrest, the birth of twins, and multiple property acquisitions.

Born Makgotso Lee-Anne Makopo but known as Gogo Maweni, the celebrity shared candid thoughts about her journey via social media. She posted: “Last year I celebrated my wedding, buying a house as well as a townhouse and flipping them into a rental business.”

Regarding 2025 events, Maweni explained: “2025 started with drama as well as me getting arrested which I’m grateful for, as it was the greatest eye opener to appreciating what God & my Ancestors blessed me with! Today I turn 39 and yet again this year we have achieved cars, home, traditional spa as well as the birth of our beloved twins… Happy Birthday to me.”

Her celebratory Instagram video showcased a lavish lifestyle, featuring a new home with outdoor pool, luxury bathroom, and brown leather lounges. She proudly displayed her new Range Rover Evoque before sharing a romantic picnic scene with her husband amid champagne, cake, roses, and “39”-shaped balloons.

Warm birthday wishes flooded her post, including from media personality Khanyi Mbau who commented: “Leeee, to many more, wealth and health my angel,” and actress Lerato Mvelase who added: “Happy birthday.”

The milestone comes weeks after Maweni confirmed her twins’ July birth through social media, sharing images of her husband cradling the infants.
