
FlySafair Adds New Flights from Lanseria to Eastern Cape

Low-cost airline FlySafair will launch new domestic flights from Lanseria International Airport to East London and Gqeberha starting November 2025. The expansion includes increased frequencies to Kruger National Park from Cape Town.
From 1 November 2025, the airline will operate six weekly flights to King Phalo Airport (East London) and daily flights to Chief Dawid Stuurman International Airport (Gqeberha). (FlySafair statement)
Fares for the new Eastern Cape routes start from R770. Tickets are available via FlySafair’s website and mobile app.
FlySafair Chief Marketing Officer Kirby Gordon said: “We’re thrilled to be adding these new routes to the Eastern Cape from Lanseria.” He noted: “It offers more convenience for holidaymakers and those visiting family this summer.”
From 2 October, the carrier will connect Cape Town to Hoedspruit’s Eastgate Airport serving the Kruger region. Flights operate Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays from R1,570. (FlySafair statement)
The airline will also increase Cape Town-Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport flights to daily service from October.
Gordon said the expansion follows FlySafair’s March launch of Lanseria-George routes and aims to connect more South Africans with leisure destinations affordably. He stated: “This expansion is part of our ongoing mission to connect more South Africans to the places and people they love.”
