LaConco Steps into Acting with Debut Role on Genesis

Reality TV favourite Nonkanyiso “LaConco” Conco has landed her first acting role on Mzansi Magic’s popular drama series “Genesis”.

The “Real Housewives of Durban” star shared her excitement on Instagram Tuesday, posting a clip of her appearance as “The Podcaster” interviewing character Gabriel (played by Buyile Mdladla).

She captioned the post: “Making my acting debut tonight on Genesis as ‘The podcaster’. We Mnge! Hawu thank you for featuring me, Genesis family.”

Fellow celebrities like actress Leleti Khumalo responded enthusiastically, posting: “I love this so much. Congratulations LaC.” Ayah Mthembu_ added: “Congratulations onwards and upwards, Darli can’t wait to see you.”

“Genesis” follows gospel icon Felicia Thabethe as she battles to protect her family’s record label after explosive secrets threaten their empire. The series features notable actors including Baby Cele, Buyile Mdladla and Nay Maps.

This marks a career expansion for LaConco who continues to explore new entertainment avenues beyond reality television.
