Nozipho Ntshangase: “This Is Not Rejection, It’s Redirection”

Nozipho Ntshangase opens up about motherhood journey and life redirection after split

Television personality and mother of eight Nozipho Ntshangase has shared her journey of healing and personal growth following a public separation, during a heartfelt appearance on The Motherhood Network podcast hosted by Nandi Madida.

Ntshangase, also known for her role on The Mommy Club and hosting the @Lifelately_podcast, discussed the complexity of blended families and raising children. She reflected on the emotional pain of her separation, calling it a “life changing and deeply painful” experience (podcast recording).

She revealed it took significant personal reflection to reframe the experience: “You can’t not go through something that is life changing and not in a good way and not feel rejection. When you have certain plans for your life and suddenly you have to change those plans not because you want to, you don’t immediately see it as redirection. It took a long time for me to do some work, I said this is not rejection, it’s redirection.”

Therapy played a crucial role in her healing process, Ntshangase affirmed, stating: “Therapy played a huge role in that.”

She also discussed her recent “mommy makeover” surgery, emphasizing self-reclamation: “I had four pregnancies. I love the changes our bodies go through after pregnancies, I own it. I’m so blessed that God blessed me to carry my babies—it’s such a huge blessing that I don’t take for granted at all, but this was for me. This chapter is mine and it’s the redirection, it’s the refocus.”

Regarding future relationships, Ntshangase stated she remains a believer in marriage but prioritizes her children: “I love marriage. I absolutely believe in marriage. I will never not get married again, but I think this chapter right now is me raising my kids. I’m now very weary of the decisions that I make about my life that could affect my children, so I’m in no rush. If love finds me, it finds me.”

Looking ahead, she revealed plans for a new project, declaring: “I think 2026 is going to be a big and amazing year for me because we’re going to add a new title to our names” (podcast statement).

Through her candid storytelling, Ntshangase offers inspiration to mothers navigating life’s unexpected turns.
