Comedian Lebogang Tlokana Finds Humour in Pregnancy Changes
PRETORIA
Popular comedian Lebogang Tlokana, known as The Funny Chef, is sharing her pregnancy journey through candid jokes on social media. The Theresa Park, Tshwane star has turned bodily changes during pregnancy into relatable comedy gold through honest Instagram posts.
The 35-year-old, who built her following mixing cooking and comedy, posted about unexpected physical transformations with characteristic wit. In one Instagram Story she ranted: “I just got out of the shower, looked in the mirror, and did a 360. To my surprise, my arse is now shaped like a four-cornered window! It used to be great, now what am I seeing?”
No feature escaped her comedic lens—including her nose. She joked: “My nose looks like meat now, thick like a Chuck roast. I don’t even know how to explain it. I tried everything—bandages, massage, the only thing left is to put pegs on it. I’m seeing flames!”
Even her shoe size became material, as she recounted: “I usually wear a size 7. Yesterday, I had a delivery and couldn’t find my shoes, so I grabbed my dad’s size 10 boots. Why did they fit me? Why? Our problems are not the same.”
Dental changes also featured, with her observing: “Let’s talk about my teeth. They’re dispersing like an assembly, like those kids on Sarafina! I’ve never had the kind of face that turns heads, but my smile was always beautiful… now, I don’t know.”
Fans have embraced Tlokana’s unfiltered approach to pregnancy. By spotlighting challenging moments with humour, she’s sparked laughter while normalising common experiences.
