
SAA Boosts Festive Season Flights on Key African, South American Routes
JOHANNESBURG
South African Airways (SAA) will increase flight frequencies on major regional and international routes to handle rising festive season travel demand, offering passengers more travel options.
From October and December 2023, extra flights will operate on three key corridors according to the airline’s revised schedule.
On the Johannesburg-Lagos route, two additional weekly flights will run on Mondays and Tuesdays starting 6 October, increasing service to six flights weekly.
The Johannesburg-Accra route adds Wednesday and Friday flights from 1 October, also reaching six weekly flights.
For Johannesburg-São Paulo, two extra flights on Wednesdays and Sundays will begin 10 December, taking the schedule to five weekly flights.
These boosted frequencies will remain operational until 11 February 2024, providing extended capacity during peak holiday travel months across Africa and South America.
SAA Chief Commercial Officer Tebogo Tsimane stated: “SAA is strengthening its network with more flights, more frequencies, and more opportunities to connect Africa to the world. We are aiming higher to serve our customers better this festive season.”
