Anele Mdoda hosts cricket surprise party for son at Wanderers Stadium

Popular broadcaster Anele Mdoda celebrated her son Alakhe’s 10th birthday with a surprise cricket-themed party at Johannesburg’s Wanderers Stadium on Saturday.

The stadium hosted the lavish event after Alakhe requested a cricket celebration. Mdoda revealed: “Alakhe said he wanted a cricket party, so we said DP WANDERERS!!! The Bull Ring!” according to her social media post.

Alakhe remained unaware of the surprise arrangements until the party. His mother noted: “He has no clue what his party is this year!!!! And everyone has done a great job at helping me keep the secret.”

Reported guests included public figures Trevor Noah and Sizwe Dhlomo alongside family and friends (social media reports).

The celebration held extra significance as Mdoda’s father also marked his 70th birthday. She shared: “Vukani guys!!!! My dad is 70 today and my son is 10 years old!!!! The besties are having a big day in a big kinda way.”
