H&M SA Celebrates 10 Years with Music and Fashion Spectacle
JOHANNESBURG — 11 September 2025
H&M marked its 10th anniversary in South Africa last night with a fashion-meets-music showcase at Johannesburg’s iconic 92 Rivonia building, launching its Spring/Summer 2025 collection’s second chapter.
The brand transformed the Sandton venue into a red-themed stage. Performers included Intimitive Dance Company, Kamo Mphela, Shekhinah and Internet Girl, accompanied by DJ sets from Lelowhatsgood, DJ Kent, and Baby Whitz (H&M event details).
Guests Nomalanga Shozi, Elaine, lordkez, Nadia Jaftha and Prince Grootboom joined industry creatives celebrating the fusion of local talent with global fashion.
Kamo Mphela said, “Being part of H&M’s S/S25 Music Experience for their 10-year celebration is so exciting. It’s all about expression and energy, which is exactly what I stand for. It feels really special to celebrate this milestone with H&M surrounded by style and sound that feels fresh and fun.”
Shekhinah added, “H&M is an iconic brand that is so loud about their love for music and fashion, which are my passions, and I am excited to share this stage with creatives and artists that are like-minded.”
Interactive features included H&M Beauty nail touch-ups, photo stations and an exclusive Superbalist retail pod. Loyal customers got event access through brand competitions (H&M statement).
Country manager Caroline Nelson stated: “Celebrating 10 years of H&M in South Africa is an incredible milestone. The S/S25 Music Experience brought people together through local music and creativity while showcasing our new collection.”
The collection blends festival sheers, rock eclecticism, and Glam Rock details reimagined with minimalist tailoring and sun-bleached colours. It’s available on Superbalist from 11 September and in all SA stores from 18 September.
