Kabza De Small Cancels Hatfield Show Due to Illness
HATFIELD — Thursday
Amapiano star Kabza De Small disappointed fans by pulling out of his performance at The Social Club in Hatfield on Wednesday night. He cancelled due to illness and fatigue after a demanding weekend schedule.
The “King of Amapiano” had just performed at the massive Scorpion Kings Live and Friends concert at Loftus Stadium in Tshwane. That show featured his longtime partner DJ Maphorisa, Nigerian superstar Davido, music legend Caiphus Semenya, and other artists including Njelic, Msaki, Nkosazana Daughter, Tracy & Thatohatsi, DBN Gogo, and Dlala Thukzin.
Kabza shared an apology through a statement published by TshisaLIVE:
“To my beloved fans, It is with deep regret that I must inform you that, due to an unexpected illness, I will be unable to perform tonight at The Social Club, Hatfield. I sincerely apologise for the inconvenience this may cause to the event organisers, sponsors and, most importantly to you my supporters. Your understanding during this difficult time means the world to me. I am committed to rescheduling or working closely with the promoters to find a suitable alternative once I’ve made a full recovery. I can’t wait to be back on stage and share that moment with all of you soon. With love and gratitude.”
Promoters confirmed they are discussing rescheduling options once Kabza recovers. (promoters’ statement)
The cancellation highlights the intense demands on musicians with heavy performance schedules. Kabza’s break may give him needed rest before returning to his popular stage shows.
