Miss South Africa names 2025 Top 10 selection judges

JOHANNESBURG — August 2025

The Miss South Africa Organisation has revealed its judging panel for the 2025 Top 10 finalist selection, appointing three prominent women to the role. Ndavi Nokeri, Devi Sankaree Govender and Liezel van der Westhuizen were announced as judges on Monday.

Nokeri, Miss South Africa 2022, is described by the organisation as: “TOP 10 SELECTION JUDGE. Crowned Miss South Africa 2022, @ndavi.nokerii is an investment professional, youth advocate, media personality and changemaker. From representing SA at the 71st Miss Universe competition to raising nearly R2 million for education equity through her Ed-Unite campaign, Ndavi continues to champion youth empowerment, financial literacy and digital inclusion. She is also the founder & CEO of the Ndavi Nokeri Foundation.”

Govender, a veteran journalist, was introduced with: “TOP 10 SELECTION JUDGE. Fearless. Bold. Unapologetic. We are proud to welcome South African media icon @devi_hq to the #MissSA2025 Top 10 selection judging panel. An award-winning investigative journalist with decades of experience. From her trailblazing years at Carte Blanche to The Devi Show, she continues to inspire the nation with courageous storytelling.”

Van der Westhuizen, a broadcaster and coach, received the description: “TOP 10 SELECTION JUDGE. Tall in presence, bold in impact, and unstoppable in energy. We are proud to announce @liezelonline as one of our #MissSA2025 Top 10 selection judge. A Certified Neuroscience & Mental Fitness Coach, global emcee, broadcaster, and endurance athlete, Liezel empowers leaders, teams, and audiences to thrive under pressure and rise with confidence.”

The announcement follows organisational changes including CEO Stephanie Weil’s departure in July 2025 and creative director Werner Wessels’ resignation earlier this year (Miss South Africa Organisation). Host Bonang Matheba will not return.

Despite these shifts, the organisation states the judging panel reinforces its commitment to excellence for the upcoming pageant.
