Miss SA Finalist Jones Denies Bullying Claims After Social Media Accusation

Content creator Kayla Jenecker accused Jones of bullying in online posts last week. The claims spread rapidly among pageant followers. (Jenecker’s social media posts)

The Miss South Africa Organisation acknowledged the allegations: “Online Allegation Involving a Contestant. The Miss South Africa Organisation is aware of a social media post making an allegation of bullying against an individual who is part of the 2025 competition.” It said all participants must follow a code of conduct prohibiting disrespectful behaviour. Jones responded: “These allegations are completely untrue. The matter referenced relates to my former employer and colleagues in a legal case in which I had no involvement. By the time those proceedings took place, I had already left the company.” (Jones’s Instagram statement)

She added: “He has also responded by posting a video in which he addresses her claims. This situation has been deeply distressing, as it unfairly affects my name and reputation.” (Jones’s Instagram statement)

The pageant organisation stated it would handle complaints through “formal processes” and “remains committed to fostering respectful and inclusive spaces”. (Organisation statement)
