Nadia Nakai Represents SA in China and Returns to TV Screens

Rapper and TV personality Nadia Nakai has recently returned from representing South Africa at China’s International Alcohol Beverage Expo, while also launching a new season of her reality show.

Nadia shared highlights from her trip where she met officials including Guizhou province governor Li Bingjun. In an Instagram post, she stated: “Former Chinese Ambassador of South Africa Siyabonga Cwele, Mr George Sebulela and myself had the honour of meeting the Governor of Guizhou Li Bingjun at the South African stand”. Back home, her reality series “Nadia – Beyond Bragga” returned for its second season. The show premiered on 6 September 2025 on BET Africa, with repeats scheduled for MTV Base every Tuesday. (Channel schedules)

Nadia explained to The Citizen why this season shows deeper personal growth: “What made me decide to open up even more this time around is just more of my dynamics around me. In Season 2 everybody got into their stride. They were comfortable, and that made it easier for me to be comfortable, too. We could all give our authentic selves as a collective.” (Media interview)
