Actress Nelisa Mchunu returns to Uzalo as fan-favourite Fikile

Actress Nelisa Mchunu is returning to SABC1’s Uzalo as her popular character Fikile after a four-year break from the show. The star described her comeback as a reunion with her “first love.”

She stated her character retains the “Beyoncé’ energy” that viewers remember. Mchunu added: “Uzalo will always be my first home. What I learnt being on Uzalo has stayed with me… I’ll be reconnecting with people I’ve known for years.”

Her return episode airs on Wednesday, 24 September. Fikile reappears in KwaMashu after vanishing years ago, leaving a heartbroken Sbu behind.
