Nirvana Nokwe Debunks Viral Beyoncé Photo as AI

South African performer Nirvana Nokwe has clarified that a viral photo showing her with Beyoncé was created using artificial intelligence, not a real meeting.

The image showed the two artists embracing and smiling, leading many fans to believe Nirvana had met the global superstar (social media reactions).

Nirvana revealed the truth on Twitter on Tuesday, stating: “Haibo guys, this is AI. I’m getting news article interview requests on how I met Beyoncé 😭🥺”

She explained her initial reaction when her niece shared the fake image: “When my niece sent this pic to me in the family group, I jumped! Then I remembered that wait, this has never happened!”

Nirvana humorously admitted even she was briefly fooled: “Yeyii wena when I tell you that EYE myself thought it was real. My niece made me jump, then kwabuya ingondo (my mind remembered) I’m like haibo, but this didn’t happen.”

The image’s realism stunned social media users. Twitter user @ChromeDaCesar commented: “I think it’s because it wouldn’t be far-fetched if y’all really linked up.”

Other reactions included @_tryzonzama noting: “Genuinely, thought it was real,” and @mandyxxsishi adding: “Lol, I was sold!” (Twitter posts)

The incident demonstrates how advanced AI-generated content can realistically mimic real-life moments.
