South African star Nomzamo Mbatha has partnered with local gin brand Inverroche as their Cultural Curator.

The actress and humanitarian will help shape the brand’s identity, blending African heritage with sustainable luxury. (Inverroche statement)

Inverroche, founded by Lorna Scott in Stilbaai, uses plants from the Cape Floral Kingdom to create premium spirits sold internationally. (Company information)

Mbatha explained her role: “To be a Cultural Curator for Inverroche is not to simply represent the brand but to help shape how it is experienced. It’s about telling the Inverroche story, and making a meaningful contribution to product, design and cultural moments in a way that honours conscious luxury.” (Creator Insider Africa)

She expanded in a brand film: “When values and vision move in harmony something beautiful is born — a luxury that doesn’t take, it rather gives back, it nurtures nature, celebrates culture. It allows you to enjoy the finer things without compromise.” (Inverroche advert)

Mbatha stated the partnership reflects her personal beliefs: “Luxury and intentionality shouldn’t exist in silos. True authenticity in luxury comes from honouring where you come from and celebrating your heritage.”

Damien Batteux of Pernod Ricard Africa said Mbatha would increase Inverroche’s visibility: “It’s high time we give Inverroche a voice, and who better to do that than our very own Nomzamo.” (Official statement)

The collaboration aims to strengthen the brand’s cultural storytelling while celebrating South African botanical heritage.
