Prince Kaybee Opens Up About Mother’s Death, Questions God

Prince Kaybee Mourns Mother, Questions Faith Amid Suffering

Award-winning DJ Prince Kaybee has shared profound grief following his mother’s death last week after a long illness. The musician, real name Kabelo Motsamai, expressed his anguish in a raw social media post on Tuesday.

Prince Kaybee revealed his devout Christian mother faced extreme suffering despite her unwavering faith. He wrote: “I just wanna discuss God, if he exists. My mother was one of the most faithful people I know, kept the loyalty and faith in her God, prayed on average twice a day, sometimes overnight because I used to listen to her cry in prayer throughout the night because my room was right…” (Prince Kaybee/Twitter)

He described witnessing her pain: “But oh boy, she suffered. I saw in her eyes how excruciating the pain was. She went through financial exhaustion. People that love her, like me, also suffered looking at her go through all that. What kind of a sick God allows this if He is all powerful and all knowing?” (Prince Kaybee/Twitter)

Prince Kaybee mourned losing his primary confidante: “I have lost the oldest person who loved me through all my flaws, the ONLY person in this world I could share anything with without being judged. But she is dead, and for some reason, there’s a God orchestrating all this.” (Prince Kaybee/Twitter)

He noted she postponed a crucial surgery: “Today was supposed to be her first surgery consultation that could’ve changed her life, but God had other plans. MY MOTHER JUST WANTED TO RAISE MY KIDS, she felt that was the only thing left to do for me.” (Prince Kaybee/Twitter)

Fellow musician Kgotso Hope Lekau responded: “Death is such a weird concept & it’s always not easy to understand. As humans, its so easy to ask questions to God especially when one lived a faithful life…” He added: “God loves you bro & He would never do anything to hurt you. He comforts you in this season, and know that you have received an angel, who loved the Lord & sang of His Goodness Always.” (Kgotso Hope Lekau/Twitter)

User @unclesplanet advised: “Never question God when you are faced with storms and triumphs… Step out in faith, knowing the Creator of the stars has your back. This is a moment to step closer to God and understand His ways.” (@unclesplanet/Twitter)
