Prince Kaybee Mourns Mother’s Passing

South African musician Prince Kaybee has announced the death of his mother. The artist, born Kabelo Motsamai, shared his grief on social media alongside a photo embracing her.

In a public post, Prince Kaybee wrote: “Why me, why now… this pain is different, all I asked for was to see you for the last time and God granted me the opportunity.” (Social media post).

Fans flooded the comments with support. Twitter user @SirBrayneZA responded: “Eisan! This is truly heartbreaking bro. Please find strength in knowing that she ran her race with dignity, pride, and grace, and that she has completed her course. May you and your family be comforted during this difficult time, and may her memory continue to inspire and live on in all of you.”

Another user @2017TheBeast added: “My deepest condolences, brother. Losing a mother is losing your first home, your anchor, your forever love. She lives on inside you. For those who still have them, hold your parents closer while you can.” Media personality Khanyi Magubane also offered condolences.

Earlier, politician Kenny Kunene announced the death before any family statement. Some social media users criticised this as insensitive timing (Public reactions).
