US Warns Foreign Nationals Celebrating Kirk Killing Face Deportation
PRETORIA — Recently
US Secretary of State Marco Rubio announced foreign nationals who celebrate activist Charlie Kirk’s assassination may be deported. The State Department reportedly began reviewing visas of those condoning the killing.
Kirk (31), a supporter of former US president Donald Trump, was shot dead last week at a university event. Gunfire struck his neck mid-sentence under a student event tent.
Former Utah congressman Jason Chaffetz told Fox News the shooting occurred as Kirk discussed “transgender shooters, mass shooters”. Security footage showed Kirk collapsing with neck wounds.
Investigators believe the shooter fired from a rooftop 200 yards away using a rifle. Footage (released by FBI) showed an unidentified person wearing American-flag patterned clothing.
Former president Donald Trump stated authorities arrested a suspect, saying: “I think, with a high degree of certainty, we have him.” Trump claimed the person surrendered “by someone close to him.” (Trump/Fox News)
Rubio declared: “We have no business inviting people who engage in negative and destructive behaviour. If they are already here, we should revoke their visas.”
